Speaking to this correspondent here today, SSP Khakh said that different police teams have been trained under the supervision of SP Detective and DSP Sarwan Singh Bal, including three SHOs and 160 police officers, today besieged the village. from Lattianwal and started the search operation in the village.
During the search, various police teams apprehended six large fish or smugglers, including two suspected delinquents wanted in a case of recovery of heroin of 5 kg and seized a significant quantity of narcotics and illicit alcohol in their possession. , he added.
The accused smugglers have been identified as Rajvir Singh alias Raju, Sukhjivan Singh, Lakhwinder Singh alias Lakha, Amarjit Singh, Kulbir Singh alias sohan all residents of lattianwal village and Harpal Singh alias Pala resident of Toti village in Sultanpur lodhi.

The SSP further clarified that the arrested smugglers Rajvir Singh, alias Raju and Sukhjivan Singh, were both declared criminals in case no.126 of 01.08.2019 under article 21/29 of the NDPS law and have fled in recent years. Many cases have already been registered against them under the narcotics law, he added.

He said that during this operation, the police seized 260 grams of heroin from the accused Rajvir Singh alias Raju and 265 grams of heroin from Sukhjivan Singh, 450 intoxicating tablets from Lakhwinder singh alias lakha, 510 intoxicating tablets by Amarjit Singh, 270 grams of powder narcotics and a Scorpio car. of the accused Harpal Singh alias Pala and 150 kg of illicit alcohol were also seized from the accused Kulvir Singh alias Sohan.

He informed that six different cases have been registered against these drug traffickers under the relevant articles of NDPS Law and Excise Law at Sultanpur Lodhi Police Station.

The SSP said the arrested smuggler will be brought before the magistrate by the police and that his pre-trial detention will be requested to further investigate the upstream and downstream links so that further arrests can be made against those associated with these smugglers. .

The SSP reiterated that zero tolerance would be adopted against drug traffickers and that such “2” operations would be launched in the coming days to eliminate the drug threat.
