You can forge a new Moonlight-inspired polearm in Genshin Impact with the arrival of version 3.0. The Moonpiercer Polearm has been added along with four other new forgeable weapons based on tales of a king, their squire, and even the desert.

You will have to complete several tasks to get all the different blueprints for the Sumeru forgeable weapons. If you only want the Moonpiercer polearm, however, you can do the first quest and trade a story of you and the Aranara for the sword blueprint.

How to get the Moonpiercer polearm Genshin Impact

First, you must reach the Aranyaka Part II: Dream Nursery quest chain in order to unlock the regions you will need to go to to complete the quests. Bluprints for new forgeable weapons become available when you complete The World of Aranara sub-quests, which is the first to unlock after completing The Lost Child quest.

You will need to find Amadhiah to start The World of Aranara. Head to Vimara Village to begin your search for the stories of you and the Aranara. They will be the currency you can use to exchange the Moonpiercer Polearm recipe and the other Sumeru forgeable weapons.

You can get the first copy of Stories of You and the Aranara from Arama after completing the tasks he gave you to enter the Vanarana Kingdom in the Dream Nursery quest. Some of the tasks include collecting Phantasmal Seeds, helping small Aranara creatures by eliminating fungi, and clearing rocks blocking an entrance, for example.

The other stories of you and the Aranara can be found with Varuna Gatha in A Prayer for Rain in the Fecund Land quest, with Agnihotra Sutra in The Final Chapter, Vimana Agama: Dev Delver Chapter, and with Aranyaka Part 3:” Hello, “Thank you” and the final quest “Goodbye”.

These quests unlock as you complete them in order and will have you traveling through the new region while completing these five quest chains to obtain Sumeru’s five forgeable weapons.

Once you have the stories of you and the copy of Aranara, go to Aravinay’s shop next to the tree of dreams and exchange them for the Genshin weapon recipes you want.

From the five recipes, choose the Tale of the Moonlight Blueprint to get the Moonpiercer Polearm. You will need a Midlander Claymore Billet, 50 Crystal, 50 Tin, and 500 Mora to forge it.
