FC Dallas manager reveals why Bryan Reynolds didn’t join Juventus
Juventus were closely linked with FC Dallas youngster Bryan Reynolds for most of the January transfer window. Several reports had suggested a deal was made, but the youngster ended up joining AS Rome.
With Juventus having already expired his non-EU quota, Reynolds should have joined Benevento until the end of the season on loan before joining Juventus this summer. Reynolds wasn’t particularly happy with the idea.
Talk to TuttoMercatoWeb, FC Dallas manager Andre Zanotta has revealed the reason Bryan Reynolds snubbed Juventus at the last minute. He said:
“When Tiago Pinto started working for Roma the negotiations became more intense and the player told us he wanted to go. There is also a great relationship between the owners Giallorossi and those of the club,”
“It certainly helped in the negotiation phase. We are very happy to have sold our talent to such a historic club and proud to see another of our local players playing in Serie A. ”
“The main problem with Juventus was that the player couldn’t sign for them immediately, due to the very limited non-EU membership. So the plan was for him to join Benevento first and be able to then sign with the Bianconeri, even if there is no guarantee for that. On our side, AS Roma’s offer was better in every way. ” ”
